The Appointments Review Group Application
The promotion of early career NCAR scientists into the higher and more 'tenured' realm is a painstakingly detailed process, with multiple committees, review roles, and complex administration needs. I developed this PHP/MySQL application to allow the overall adminstrators of the process to track each piece of the process; and, also, to allow the participants in the process, who had many diverse roles and tasks, to accomplish their specific tasks securely and online, as they worked from institutions all over the world.
This application was such a success, that it is often cited as a model within the organization for similarly complex and dispersed administrative functions.
