Dr. Warren Washington is a senior scientist with a long, interesting, and very distinguished career that spans from the beginning days of the National Center for Atmospheric Research to today. Showcasing both his exemplary scientific work, and tireless support of causes from diversity in the science field to advising multiple U.S. Presidents on climate modeling and climate change, was a challenge that I relished.
This web interface is populated dynamically by a back end MySQL relational database that I also designed. The whole system was developed for the NCAR Library, and is to serve as a prototype for future "Special Collections" library websites to showcase outstanding scientists.
