I am a Web Designer/Developer & Graphic Artist specializing in Interactive Design, Information Architecture, and Website Development of complex, high-content projects. I am proficient and enthusiastic developer within the Drupal Content Management System; and, in building custom MySQL relational databases and PHP-based sites. The end result is clean, appealing, and functional websites and interfaces that work across all browsers and comply with the latest web standards. I am a highly self-motivated challenge seeker whose greatest ‘kick’ is helping organizations to greater success through a strong visual and functional communications presence on the web and in print. I enjoy working within a team, or individually, and communicate well in written or verbal form.
I have excellent skills and 10+ years of experience with the following web/interactive development & graphic design tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX (including all major libraries), PHP, XML, Drupal (content management system), and MySQL databases. For communications, I am handy with all major commercial and open-source office software. I have developed on both Macs and PCs, though my preferred environment is the Mac.
Responsible for the overall design, architecture, branding and interactive development of the websites of the National Center for Atmospheric Research and its laboratories and divisions, via coordination of a team of web developers and stakeholders. Developed custom, high-content websites and web applications within the Drupal framework/CMS and via custom Javascript and PHP/MySQL interaction development.
Responsible for website design and development, application development, relational database design and graphic design for the Mesoscale & Microscale Meteorology Division and Earth and Sun Systems Laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research.
Responsible for working with commercial clients to define coordinated and effective new business identities for both web and print, and for producing both web and print materials.
